English as a Second Language (ESL)

I created the accompanying illustration for the poem, ESL. The poem was written by Karen Luz-Sison for Ricepaper Magazine. The essay tackles the challenges of native accents – with a particular focus on the Filipino tongue. The final statement concludes that the Westernised child is proud of their father’s journey immigrating from the Philippines.
