Photography for the Harry Potter collection of 1st editions
I took photos for UBC Library’s Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone acquisition announcement. One of the objectives was to have visual assets that can be used for the official promotional materials that will be shared with external media and on-campus partners in the University of British Columbia.
UBC Library’s rare and special Harry Potter collection of original first editions is now complete
UBC Library has now completed its Harry Potter collection of original first editions with the recent acquisition of a U.K. first edition, first printing of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. The library’s Rare Books and Special Collections department has been building a collection of first edition Harry Potter books since spring 2015 as part of the Arkley Collection of Early Historical Children’s Literature, which is focused on popular works.
